It is notified for information of all concerned that the SLET Commission, Assam will hold the SET (State Eligibility Test) Examination to examine eligibility for appointment of Lecturer in Colleges and Universities on 12-06-11 in the centres located at the Universities of Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Tripura, and at Sikkim Govt. College for Sikkim State. For this the following schedule has been fixed:
(i) Issue of application form:* : From 07-03-11
(ii) Last date of receipt of fees and forms : 09-05-11
a) Date of Examination : 12-06-11
The cost of application form is Rs. 200.00 per form and shall have to be paid in cash at the time of collection. Along with the form of application, a syllabus of the subject for examination, Revised syllabus for Paper I (Arts), and an Information Booklet furnishing all necessary information viz, fees to be paid, mode of payment, eligibility criteria etc., will also be issued.
There is also a provision for selling Model Question paper for the examination @ Rs. 50.00 per set.[This has been prepared specially to give an idea to the candidates about the nature of the question as the nature of the papers are new to them.] Intending candidates may collect it at the time of collection of the form by paying an amount of Rs. 50.00 along with the cost of application form.
Application forms and other documents as mentioned above will be available with the Universities (respective centres) as mentioned above. Candidates may collect and deposit it in the centre where they intend to appear. For the candidates appearing at the Guwahati centre, the forms will be issued and received in the office of the SLET Commission, Assam located at the 2nd Floor of B K B Auditorium, Gauhati University.
It is for further information that the Paper-III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II as per the table given below:

It is also for information that:
3. Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing in the Master Degree examination may also apply as per provision of Eligibility (Mentioned in Information Brochure).
4. Language Papers are to be written in concerned language only.

(8) The Co-ordinators of Test centre of all the States for SET/2011 are hereby requested to publish the notification in their local leading daily for wider publicity. The required number of Forms and other documents are sent herewith.
